WELCOME TO GRASSHOP

This is the official webpage of the GrasShop game. GrasShop is a god game created for the subject "Artificial Intelligence" of Bachelor’s Degree in Video Games by UPC at CITM by Norman Benet & Carles Margelí. The main goal is to grow and sell your own “Grass” and try to manage your own cannabis club to last 7 full days in order to success..

INTRODUCTION

The game has daily cycles, that means that during day the customers will come to visit your club and leave the club at the night. After a full day cycle, all the relevant stats like the income and the costs of the current game day will be shown in order to administrate your business.  Your objective is to maintain the money of the club above 0! Otherwise this will end your business and your game

TYPE OF AGENTS:

There are 3 different types of characters

WORKERS

They have to maintain the club clean, provide weed to the customers who want to buy , claim the membership for all the members and expel the members that enter when the club is full at the reception.

CLUB'S MEMBERS

They are the ones that enters to your club during the day to pay for the weed and drinks.

GROWERS

They have to take care of the plants. If there isn't any growers contracted for the care of one row of plants, the entire row will die at the end of the day.

CLUB'S ZONES

The club is divided in three main zones:

RECEPTION

A tiny space, where the entry is found  before entering to the hub’s club. It has a check-in where the members must go before enter and the worker receptionist will check if they have the ID & club card or not, and let them enter if the club is not full.

CANNABIS CLUB HUB

It starts as a simple space with a large bar connected to the one of the recepcion, 4 sofas, chairs, TV and one pool. The player is able to buy more sofas & improve the drinks machine with the money earned.

CULTIVATION

It starts with a simple space with only a row of plants, there is the workspace of the hired growers to cultivate the preciated grass. The player is able to buy more rows and hire more agriculturists.

POSSIBLE IMPROVEMENTS

In order to success managing your cannabis club, the player is able to upgrade some parts of the club to grow as a business.These improvements are acquired buying them in the Shop Button of the User Interface of the game.

SEATS IMPROVEMENT

The initial maximum capacity of members inside the club is 6. Improving the seats, allow to enter 2 customers more per seat upgrade. At a maximum of 14 at the same time.

DRINKS IMPROVEMENT

By default, 20% of the customers that visit the club are thirsty and buy drinks by 5 coins of the currency of the game. Improving the drink machine, the customers will be more likely to buy drink, every improvement increases the chance of going for a drink in a 15%, the maximum chance is 80% per customer.

PLANTS IMPROVEMENT

At the beginning one row of plants that produce the weed is in the cultivation zone. Each row plant, if has a grower assigned to it, will produce 4 grams of weed at the end of the day, otherwise the plant will rotten as a lack of care. It can be bought up to 5 row plants more, to have at the end a maximum of 24gr per day. Every time a customer that wants to buy weed it will take 7 coins in exchange of 1gr.

HIRE GROWERS

In order to have more plants, more growers are needed, one per row plant. At the end of the day the growers will request 10 coins for their service.
